In the lesson 'Laying field tiles', we described the method of laying tiles along the centrelines two rows at a time to build up the floor. An alternative method was shown in the Armstrong video clip, where the installer used a pyramid layout.

Your choice of technique will depend on the size of the floor you're working on and your personal preference. The over-riding consideration is to maintain straight lines in both directions over the full area of the floor.

Below is a pyramid layout suitable for use on a large floor area. The sequence of the first 9 tiles is already shown.

See if you can lay the rest of the tiles in their correct sequence, starting at 10 and working through to 30.

Click on tile 10 to show its number, and then keep clicking each new tile in the right order.
